Commerce Sync does not apply payments to invoices you've already created in QuickBooks or Xero.
Commerce Sync is a one-way sync that transfers sales data from your point of sale (POS) or payment processor into your accounting software.
How Commerce Sync works
Each day, Commerce Sync creates a new sales record (such as an invoice or sales receipt depending on your point of sale) in QuickBooks or Xero using the mapping selected on the Commerce Sync dashboard.
The payment is associated with the sales record that Commerce Sync creates. It does not:
- Apply payments to existing invoices in QuickBooks or Xero
- Send payment transactions by themselves without creating a corresponding sales record
