Payments for Doordash, Grubhub, Etc.

Commerce Sync will transfer the payments tendered from 3rd party companies like DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats, Caviar, etc as long as they are entered as a tender type on your point of sale system.

When you have a payment method for these 3rd party companies, Commerce Sync will transfer those payments as a summary for each one used, paying the invoice created for your daily transfer along with your other payment methods.

The question most merchants have is how to deposit the payments that Commerce Sync creates for these types of payments.

DoorDash and GrubHub typically deposit your settlement information on a weekly basis. And then Commerce Sync is transferring a payment daily. What you'll want to do is leave those payments in Undeposited Funds until you have your deposit from the respective 3rd party company. Once you see that deposit in your bank account you will create the deposit in QuickBooks or Xero, adding the daily payments to create the deposit. Depending on how the 3rd party company charges their fees, you can either add that as a separate entry into QuickBooks or Xero, or you can add it as a line item on the deposit. You will need to log into their system to verify the fees they apply and add that as a negative line item on your deposit.
