Once you download the Commerce Sync app on your Clover.com account, you will have the option to select between two plans; Essential and Expert.
If you use QuickBooks Online or Xero, you are eligible to use the Essential plan and it will transfer the data as a single income account (daily summary) for your sales. If you select the Expert plan with QuickBooks Online, you will have two more options on how the data can transfer over. It can transfer over with a breakdown of the Clover Categories or by the Clover Revenue Classes.
If you have QuickBooks Desktop, you will need to use the Expert plan but will be provided the three options of how you would like the income to be transferred over.
When you select the Expert Plan during the connection process, you will be prompted with these options.
Here is the information on these selections:
|A Single Income Account
(Only option with Essential Plan)
|The sales information from your Clover account will be transferred as a daily summary. This daily summary will be transferred as an Invoice with one line item, into a single, generic Income Account in your Accounting Solution.|
|By Category||The sales information from your Clover account will be transferred broken down by the Categories that are set up under your Inventory tab on Clover.com. This will transfer as an Invoice with a line item for each Category, associated to a specific Income Account for each Category as it is sold in Clover.|
|By Inventory Label||The sales information from your Clover account will be transferred broken down by the Revenue Classes, under the Inventory tab on Clover.com. This will transfer as an Invoice with a line item for each Revenue Class, associated to a specific Income Account for each Revenue Class as it is sold in Clover.|
