Which QuickBooks and Xero versions are supported?

Xero

Commerce Sync supports all versions of Xero.


QuickBooks Online

Commerce Sync supports the following QuickBooks Online subscriptions:

  • Simple Start
  • Essentials
  • Plus

QuickBooks Desktop (Windows)

Commerce Sync supports the following Windows versions of QuickBooks Desktop:

  • Pro
  • Premier
  • Accountant
  • Enterprise

This also includes specialized editions such as:

  • Manufacturing
  • Nonprofit
  • Other Premier industry editions
  • Unregistered versions of QuickBooks Desktop

Supported QuickBooks Desktop Years

Commerce Sync supports QuickBooks Desktop versions that are currently considered Fully Supported by Intuit.

As a general guideline, this includes the current year and the three previous versions. For the most up-to-date information, refer to Intuit's list of Fully Supported Products.


QuickBooks Desktop on Remote Windows Servers

Commerce Sync also supports QuickBooks Desktop for Windows when it is hosted on a remote Windows server.


Mac Compatibility

Mac users are supported when using:

  • Xero
  • QuickBooks Online
  • QuickBooks Desktop hosted on a remote Windows server or Windows emulator

Commerce Sync does not support QuickBooks Desktop installed directly on macOS.


Important Plan Information

QuickBooks Desktop requires the Expert plan.

The Essential plan is available for QuickBooks Online and Xero only and does not support QuickBooks Desktop.
