Commerce Sync installs and activates seamlessly on a Mac when integrating with the QuickBooks Online version or Xero. No additional considerations or steps are needed.
For customers integrating with any of the QuickBooks Desktop versions, Commerce Sync only installs and activates seamlessly if you access your QuickBooks account from a remote windows server.
Some merchants that we have worked with use Right Networks (as a remote windows server) to host their QuickBooks company file - that may be something you can look into.
Current status: We are working with Right Networks to ensure compatibility. Currently, customers using Right Networks cannot successfully activate a Commerce Sync account. You will be able to do so very soon, though, contact Support and we can let you know the minute we confirm compatibility.
